John 1791 - 1850 in Tarentum Boro, Allegheny Co., PA. married Sarah ? Children: John Christian b. 1824 and Christopher b. 1828. John Christian was the father of William, Thomas 1853, and Adam 1863.

Jacob 1786 - 1873 m. Rosanna 1798- 1883 Children: Nancy (m. John Spater), Mary (m. _____Rienhardt), Jacob

Henry 1797-1868 m. Elizabeth Sheppard d. 1875 Children: Mary (married John Garlitz), John, Joanna (m. Leo McKenzie ??? wrong Joanna), David (m. Elizabeth moved to IL) [for descendents of David follow link], Harriet (m. Isidore McKenzie), Josiah, Maria, Belinda b. 1830. Henry was a farmer and ran a drovers' inn in Springfield Twp., Fayette Co., PA. Elizabeth Sheppard probably was his second wife. Please see notes through above link on Maria.

Barbara 1803 Possible identification follows. Please contact tl@garlitz.org if you can provide further information. Tom, I have just received some death certificates of the children of Peter Ohler born February 14, 1797 and his wife Barbara. According to these death certificates Barbara was known as Margaret Barbara Garlits/Garlitz born about 1803 in PA. If any Garlitz researchers can give me a clue to as where to find the church records for her baptism, I sure would appreciate it. Thanks in advance, Diane Ohler Newton

More notes on Barbara and Peter Ohler descendents. "Hi My GGGrandmother was Julia Ann Ohler' I have found that she Had 2 sisters Hannah and Elizabeth. Both Hannah and Elizabeth were married to a Robert Nicholson.
Hannah and Elizabeth and Julia Ann parents were Peter and Barbara Margaret Garlitz Ohler of Markelton. Pa. There were apparently 10 children in this family. I only know of these 3 girls and I believe they were the youngest.
Robert Nicholson married Hannah even though Elizabeth was expecting a child that belonged to Mr Nicholson. I believe I found where he married Hannah in 1866 and then left her and went to Elizabeth in 1888. But he didn;t divorce Hannah and I don't know if he actually married Elizabeth or they just lived together and had more children. Julia Ann Had a child in 1864 .I am trying to find out who she was married to. The child's name was Neri Collins and lists Julia Ann Ohler as his mother on his marriage application. I think ahe may have been married to Amos collins a son of Henry Jr and Mary Sipe Collins. Amos died sometime after Neri was born. He shows up on the 1870 cenus with is Grandfather Henry and Henry's 2nd wife Hannah. Julia was born in 1842. Julia Ann remarried in 1870 to a John Hiltabidel. Does anyone know More about Julia Ann Ohler Collins Hiltabidel? Thanks. Iva Kressler"
