Obituary for Grant Bowman

Grant Milton Bowman, 84, of Salisbury, PA died Monday, March 3, 2008 in Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, Johnstown, PA.

Born February 28, 1924, in Meyersdale, PA, he was the son of the late Milton Cyrus and Cecilia (Garlitz) Bowman. He was also preceded in death by six brothers, Clarence, Edward, Paul, Colonel, Francis and Ralph Bowman; five sisters, Margaret Engle, Iva Vought, Genevieve Shaulis, June Shoemaker and Doris D’Este.

Mr. Bowman was a machine operator for Keystone Lime Co and a U.S. Navy WW2 veteran. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and the Salisbury V.F.W.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Elizabeth (Harris) Bowman; two sons, Frederick Bowman, West Salisbury, PA; Michael Bowman and companion, Joyce, Boynton, PA and a daughter, Mary Bowman, West Salisbury

A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 in St. Michael’s Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the St. Michael’s Cemetery.
